Bringing AT Closer to Regional Communities

‘Local Edition’, designed to bring assistive technology, connection and conversation closer to the communities we serve.

The first ATSA Expo ‘Local Edition’ will be held in Bendigo, Victoria on Tuesday 20 October 2026, marking an important step in expanding ATSA’s presence beyond metropolitan centres and creating more frequent, relationship-based engagement across regional Australia.

ATSA’s Independent Living Expos continue to be highly valued, education-rich events. However, we know that regional stakeholders often face barriers to attending large, metro-based expos.

What to Expect

ATSA Expo ‘Local Edition’ – Bendigo will be a one-day, low-infrastructure showcase and networking event, held at the All Seasons Hotel, Bendigo.

Rather than a full seminar program, the focus will be on:

  • hands-on product demonstrations
  • informal conversations and relationship building
  • open networking across the regional AT ecosystem

Who It’s For

The event will welcome a broad mix of regional stakeholders, including:

  • allied health professionals and clinicians
  • disability, aged care and community service providers
  • support coordinators and planners
  • end users, families and carers
  • local government and community organisations

To further support regional capability building, ATSA is offering scholarship opportunities for allied health professionals who attend the Bendigo event, providing a potential pathway to attend the ATSA Independent Living Expo Melbourne in May 2027 and engage with the broader national AT community.

Do I need to book ahead?

To secure your spot, free coffee (or tea) and seat in education sessions booking online prior to the event is recommended www.atsaindependentlivingexpo.com.au

Is there catering available at the event?

Yes, there is a café with various food offerings available on the event days. Many dietary requirements are catered for.

Why have I received a QR code in my reminder email?

If you are interested in hearing from a company, please have them scan your registration QR code (either print it and bring with you or save to your phone). This will mean you don’t need to take notes and our exhibitor will contact you shortly after the event.

I’m feeling unwell on the day, what do I do?

If you are feeling unwell, or displaying any symptoms of COVID-19, please do not, under any circumstances, attend the event.

If at any point during the expo you start to display symptoms, however mild, please keep away from other attendees and seek assistance from an event organiser or member of security.

How can I ensure the wellbeing of myself and other attendees?

Please have your printed QR code or phone ready to scan upon entry.

Wash or sanitise hands regularly, especially after coming in contact with objects that have been handles by others. There will be hand sanitiser available in various locations throughout the venue, but we encourage you to also bring a small bottle with you.

We ask that all visitors follow the directional marking on the ground when waiting to enter the venue, and during the expo.

Is there catering available at the event?

Yes, there is a café with various food offerings available on the event days. Many dietary requirements are catered for and exhibitors will have the option to pre order meals so you don’t waste valuable time queuing for food.

How many staff members can I have at my stand?

There is no limit as to how many staff members you may have at your stand.

QR Codes

All attendees are provided with a QR code in their reminder email (sent about 7 days prior to the event) we encourage them to print this off and have to hand so exhibitors can scan and collect leads.

I’m feeling unwell on the day, what do I do?

If you are feeling unwell or displaying any symptoms of COVID-19 (this includes fever, cough, sore throat and or flu-like symptoms), please do not, under any circumstances, attend the event. If you cannot make the event, please contact us on events@atsa.org.au
